If someone has been treated for thyroid cancer, they have to take thyroid hormones the rest of their life. C= Complications/Progression Some complications of Thyroid Cancer may include: Damage to the voice box/ hoarseness after surgery, if part of the parathyroid glands are accidentally removed during surgery there might be low calcium levels, and the cancer might spread to lungs, bones, or other body parts.
